Founded in 2011in New York by Riccardo Lo Faro and Alessia Pertosa, the PrimiDieci Society is dedicated to exploring among those who have achieved remarkable success in their career, those who are the best examples of having overcome obstacles and difficulties and are today delivering the utmost excellence to the international community.

The PrimiDieci Society is a collective of world-leading personalities. It was born out of a strong desire to forge connections between the most distinguished personalities with young talented Italians around the globe. The Society is committed to the development of an inspired, illuminated, and merit-based future leadership while promoting the outstanding value of cultural diversity as a source of extraordinary talent, creativity, entrepreneurship, and genius. Established in New York in 2011 by Italian journalist and biographer Riccardo Lo Faro, the PrimiDieci Society relies on its International Selection Committee to nominate ten Award recipients in each country.
From culture to science, design to business, public service to the media, the arts, entertainment, and more, the recipients span from great authorities and role models to young, bright future leaders.

The life story of the ten recipients is narrated in the ‘PrimiDieci’ books. An in-depth narration of the personal and professional paths that led them to their current outstanding achievements. All books including their personal "Letter To The Young" with insights and suggestions to the young readers.

Currently published for the USA and the UK in English, and for Italy in Italian by national publisher Europa Edizioni, distributed in all Italian bookstores.

Each PrimiDieci award recipient is awarded a copy of this Special Edition book; each Awards Gala guest receives a complimentary copy of the book, including representatives from the media.​

WLPO takes up the PrimiDieci Award brand.
Extraordinary people united in the noble goal of working towards the common good.
WLPO is the charitable 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with headquarter in New York that has assimilated the PrimiDieci Society's Award brand to pursue its mission of bringing together leading personalities and support lifesaving science.
For several years the Awards' celebrations by the PrimiDieci Society have honored prominent Italians of nationality or descent who best represent Italian excellence in the U.S. and around the world. WLPO is now committed to expanding the PrimiDieci Society's mission by diversifying its celebratory events bringing together and honoring personalities of every origin and culture.

Today's Award ceremonies and Gala Dinner events by WLPO honor outstanding role models to increase public awareness with regard to the general misinformation around the devastating spread of breast cancer and other life-threatening diseases afflicting today's society.
​
Via its books and publications, both in print and online, WLPO presents the successful life stories of the awards recipients and highlights their outstanding commitment to charitable initiatives and to other noble causes. These books and other publications are available at no cost to all individual and corporate donors. During each event and Award ceremony, all guests receive a complimentary copy, including representatives from the media.
